From Our Lay Director To all Cursillistas
I would like to wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year. In today’s tough times the Cursillo method of Group Reunion and Ultreya becomes more vital for Cursillistas who are committed to living their 4th day in a continuous state of formation. Please encourage one another to attend Group Reunions more regularly. The Secretariat held their annual Retreat on December 5-6, 2008, at Sacred Heart Monastery. It was a great experience. On Saturday we joined the Sisters for Morning Prayers and Mass, and spent the rest of the time brainstorming and discussing ways of better serving our Diocese. We will share these ideas at the School of Leaders meetings, and will make use of the Ultreya representatives to share these ideas at the Ultreya meetings. Vicki Wilkins, from Fort Payne, was affirmed as Pre-Cursillo chairperson at the Secretariat Meeting on January 17, 2009. Thank-you to Diane Peterka, the outgoing Pre-Cursillo chairperson, for her dedication and service to the Secretariat and the movement. The next Men’s Weekend #116 will be held on April 30 – May 3, 2009. The Coordinator will be Mark Richards. The next Women’s Weekend #117 will be held on May 21 – 24, 2009. The Coordinator will be Teri Gagliano. Please pray for the upcoming Teams during their Team Formation and for the sponsors and their candidates, so they may be prepared for what they are called to do. The National Cursillo Movement of the United States of America asks that all Cursillistas offer palanca for the following special intentions:
In the world where there is so much suffering, let us be the Good News! Make a Friend, Be a Friend, and Bring a Friend to Christ! De Colores, Kevin Kisbey-Green |
