From Our Lay Director To all brothers and sisters in Christ: The Cursillo Movement of the Diocese of Birmingham bade farewell to Sister Deborah Kennedy RSM, who served on the Secretariat for many years, and was given a new assignment in Mobile, Alabama. We would like to thank Sister Deborah for her tireless dedication to the Cursillo Movement and wish her all the best for the future. I would like to welcome all Cursillistas who made Weekend #112 and Weekend #113, and all those Cursillistas who have moved to the Diocese of Birmingham. Hope you have been able to join a group reunion and Ultreya and if you have any difficulty please contact our postcursillo chairperson, Serge Brazzolotto. Please continue to pray and offer palanca for Men’s weekend #114 to be held September 18 – 21, and Women’s Weekend #115 to be held on November 13 - 16. Please continue to pray and offer palanca for one another, our Secretariat and for the National Cursillo Movement. The National Cursillo Center requests that we offer palanca intentions as follows:
I would encourage all Cursillistas to attend School of Leaders. In the past all these meetings were held in Cullman at Sacred Heart Church. This year we have had one School of Leaders in Madison at St John’s, and one in Birmingham at the Cathedral of St Paul. There has been so much positive feedback that the Secretariat is planning more meetings outside of Cullman for 2009. Keep your 4th Day alive by attending Group Reunion, Ultreya and School of Leaders. Make a friend, be a friend and bring a friend to Christ. De Colores, Kevin Kisbey-Green |
