The Treasurer is a position on the Secretariat whose responsibility is the Stewardship of the Movement’s funds in the Diocese to include bookkeeping, making deposits to the Secretariat’s account and paying bills on behalf of the Diocesan Cursillo Movement

      Currently both candidates and team members are asked to pay $175.00 to cover the cost of the Cursillo Weekend. This includes three nights stay, eight meals, notebooks, Pilgrim’s Guides, and other materials used during the weekend. We normally break even on a weekend

      Payment is required of team members. Although we encourage payment at points during the weekend, we never require full payment before accepting a candidate to make the weekend. When a candidate is unable to fulfill payment, we must pay the difference. We also pay for any clergy or religious who participate on the weekend as either a candidate or a team member.

      You may or may not know there are many other expenses incurred by the Movement. These include but are not limited to the following:

1. $400.00 per year for National Affiliation Dues
2. $300.00 per year for Regional Affiliation dues
3. Travel and registration expenses incurred by the Lay Director or designee to attend Regional and National Encounters, which are required.
4. In compliance with copyright laws, the music publications for the weekend cost approximately $300.00 per year.
5. Pre-purchase of study texts for School of Leaders as well as Fourth Day guides, Leader’s Manuals, 3 Day Manuals, etc. for sale (at cost) at School of Leaders.

      As a Movement, we have no "dues", but we do have "needs" which must be met to remain viable. The Cursillo Movement needs your financial support which has been generous in the past. Still, many expenses incurred by those who serve the movement are borne by that very servant himself.

      At present there is one Ultreya that sends a "love bucket" donation after each monthly meeting. Many thanks are due to that Ultreya. I would like to encourage all Ultreyas to take up such a “Love Bucket” collection at all of their gatherings.
