I.OUR MISSION
To Be Better Living Witnesses and Evangelizers of Our Environment/Communities, to invite others to participate more fully in the life of the Church, and to affirm and empower the laity in their Baptismal roles of leadership and responsibility
II.OUR MAJOR GOALS AND STRATEGIES

1. To Be Ever-Growing Cursillistas in the areas of Holiness, Formation, and Evangelization;

a) To Be True Living Witnesses of Christ's Love

b) To Be Faithful to the call of the Lord Jesus Christ to spread the Word and to Serve and Love one another

c) To Be Better Christian Leaders and Witnesses of Gospel values that animate the natural environments we choose to work in with Gospel values

2. To Increase the Quantity and Quality of the School of Leaders (the SF Filipino Cursillo core of leaders)

3. To advocate open, respectful, effective, and efficient communication among the Secretariat, The School of Leaders, and the SF Filipino Cursillo community

4. To create a High Spirit, Joy, Love, Creativity and Enthusiasm in serving the Lord and His people

           
III.SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES AND ELEMENTS
Increase membership in the School of Leaders (core) by inviting Cursillistas to become members of the working committees. The members of the School of Leaders are those who are active members of any of these committees--the Precursillo, Postcursillo, Cursillo Proper, and School of Formation. Members of the School of Leaders should continuously attend meetings of the School (Core) and/or sessions of the School of Formation. They should also be active in a Group Reunion/Ultreya
 
  A.PRE-CURSILLO COMMITTEE
 

1. Identify specific environments and describe why we want to work those specific environments with the help of existing members of Group Reunions

2. Start work on those environments and continuously give updates to Group Reunion members, and give feedback to Postcursillo and Precursillo committees on a monthly basis

3. Identify and Select Persons who are natural leaders of each environment. Identify the Catholics, other Christians, other religious, secular people, and influence them in loving and serving one another.

4. Prepare the natural leaders who are Catholics to attend our 3-Day Cursillo weekend

 
  B.CURSILLO PROPER COMMITTEE
 
 

1. Provide a Joyful, Loving, and Christian Learning atmosphere in Team formation.

2. Emphasize the importance of working, Christianizing, or evangelizing the environment where the invited candidate works, chooses, or finds himself / herself in Emphasize that the best way to do this is by working actively with a Group Reunion and actively attending Ultreyas.

3. Ensure that Servers in the 3-day Cursillo weekend are chosen from The School of Leaders.

4. Safeguard authenticity of cursillo weekends.

 
  C.POST CURSILLO COMMITTEE
 
 

1. Create, Support and Sustain all Cursillista Group Reunions and Ultreyas. Rector/a of the previous 3-day weekend must make a commitment to "walk" with their graduates for at least 2 years.

2. Ensure that all Cursillistas work their natural environments in concert with their Group Reunions. Regular, monthly oral reports and discussions on chosen environments is encouraged.

   

a) Group Reunions can be formed based on Friendship or based on Environment (Workplace, residence, etc.)

b) Ultreyas-A gathering of Group Reunions should have an Authentic Witnessing based on their work in their chosen natural environments so that other Group Reunion members can learn how to be better workers in their environments. Care should be exercised in choosing Ultreya witness speaker and the assistance of Group Reunion shall be solicited to identify potential witness speakers.

c) Postcursillo Chairperson shall give monthly status feedback to Precursillo Chairperson as to the Catholic persons/leaders who are being prepared for the 3-day weekend, and become active cursillistas who are leaders of their environment. Postcursillo Chair gets status feedback each month from the Group Reunion coordinators.

 
  D.SCHOOL OF FORMATION
 
 

Provide continuous technical and spiritual development to members of the School of Leaders. Develop curriculum that enhances and accelerates the development of each member. Topic resources shall be current issues of the Church, Pastoral Plan of the SF Filipino Cursillo, and National and Regional cursillo guidelines.

 

 
  E.THE SCHOOL OF LEADERS (CORE)
 
 

They are the core of SF Filipino Cursillo leaders who have chosen the Cursillo as their primary apostolic vocation in the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

The members of the School of Leaders are those who are active members of any of these committees-the Precursillo, Postcursillo, Cursillo Proper, and School of Formation. They also continuously attend meetings of the School of Leaders as well as sessions of the School of Formation. They are active members of a Group Reunion and attend Ultreyas, and are actively evangelizing their environment.

The Chairpersons of the Working Committees ( 3 phases) of the School of Leaders provide administrative leadership. They come up with concrete strategies, methods, styles particular to the SF Filipino Cursillo, SF Archdiocese.

 
  F.THE SECRETARIAT
 
 

1. The Secretariat is the policy-making unit of the SF Filipino Cursillo. Policy is developed based on the authentic mission of the Cursillo Movement, the Constitution and By-laws of the SF Filipino Cursillo, the rich experience of the School of Leaders, and guided by policies of the Regional and National Cursillo Movements, while praying for guidance from the Holy Spirit.

   

a) It's members include the Lay Director, the Precursillo Chair, The Postcursillo Chair, the Cursillo Proper Chair, the Chair of the School Of Formation, the Secretary, the Treasurer, the Spiritual Advisers, and the current Rector/a of the 3-day weekend.

b) Members of the Secretariat come from the School (Core) of Leaders.

 
  G.DIOCESAN PASTORAL PLAN
 
  The San Francisco Archdiocese Pastoral Plan* calls us to Evangelize as Christ does. We will "invite others to participate more fully in the life of the Church and seek to bring the values of the Gospel to our communities." We also aim to "affirm and empower the laity in their Baptismal roles of leadership and responsibility." (* "A Journey of Hope Toward The Third Millennium" the Pastoral Plan of the Pilgrim Church of San Francisco)

The Secretariat will "activate trained leaders" to work the selected environments.
