Cursillo Weekend

"The English speaking cursillo community of the Diocese of Yakima has been blessed with 24 new members! The men's cursillo, which was held October 9th through the 12th, gained nine men, and the women's cursillo, held October 16th through the 19th yielded fifteen. Both cursillos were held at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Church in Benton City. The spiritual directors were Fr. O'Shea and Deacon Kerry Turley . They were assisted by Fr. Mike Brzezowski, Fr. Robert Shaw and Fr. John Shaw.

New men cursillistas are: Jack Clark, Jose Luis Garcia, Ben Harlow, Eric Harvey, Matt Portch, John Propson, Eric Sanchez, Brent Thomas, and David Trevino. The new women cursillistas are: Barbara Blodgett, Dalia Cruz, Emma Leon, Jackie Weber, Judy Heintz, Mary Beth Harlow, Monica Bacon, Rachel Bartholomew, Rose Marie Stevens, Sony Johnson, Stephanie Packwood, Susan Signon, Theresa St. Hilaire, Jeanette Hauber, and Michelle Portch.

These new cursillistas will appreciate your congratulations and prayers for their continued participation in this wonderful movement." Please take a few minutes to review the list of your friends and determine if any of them would benefit from the experience of a Weekend as a Candidate. After such a review, please pray and discern who should invite to a Weekend.

Also these upcoming Cursillo Weekends are to be conducted for all candidates and by Cursillistas from parishes throughout the Yakima Diocese. If you would like to participate in some capacity to pass on the Good News to the future Cursillistas please contact the rector or rectora.

We invite all Cursillistas who desire to make the Cursillo Movement their apostolic vocation to attend one of the following Schools of Leaders:

Christ the King Parish, Richland - 9AM to 1PM PM (POTLUCK) every third Saturday in the old convent.
St Paul's Cathedral Parish, Yakima - 6:00 - 7:00 PM every second Monday in the gathering room.
Holy Apostles Parish, East Wenatchee 7:30 PM in gym on Fridays alternating with Ultreyas.
